Purpose and nature. This module is general workplace education for community support workers assisting adults under the NDIS and community / aged care in Australia. It is provided for training purposes only. It is not clinical, medical, legal or professional advice, and it creates no practitioner–client or advisory relationship.
Not a substitute. It does not replace, and must always be read subject to: accredited first aid and CPR certification; ACP’s policies, procedures and clinical governance; each client’s individual care plan and risk assessments; the delegation, supervision and instructions of a registered nurse or treating health practitioner; current laws and standards; and the worker’s own professional judgement. Where this material conflicts with any of these, those prevail.
Currency and accuracy. Laws and standards (including the NDIS Practice Standards, the Aged Care Act and the Australian Consumer Law) change over time. This material is provided “as is” and “as available”; ACP gives no warranty that it is current, complete, accurate or fit for any particular purpose. Reference ranges and thresholds are indicative only and must be applied against each client’s documented baseline and plan.
Responsibility and reliance. Any person who uses or relies on this material does so at their own risk, and remains responsible for acting within their scope, training and delegation, and for checking information against current requirements before acting. Completion records confirm participation (attendance) only and are not evidence or certification of clinical competence.
Limitation of liability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aged Care Physiotherapy Pty Ltd and its directors, officers, employees and contractors exclude all liability for any loss, damage, injury or cost (including indirect or consequential loss) arising from any use of, or reliance on, this material, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), under statute or otherwise. Nothing in this notice excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Australian Consumer Law. Where ACP’s liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, it is limited, at ACP’s option, to re-supplying this material or paying the cost of having it re-supplied.
